The festive season brings a lovely buzz to The Peacock at Owler Bar. Fires crackle, glasses clink and the scent of hearty winter dishes drifts through the pub.
This time of year feels extra special because we have just celebrated our very first birthday on 11th December. It has been a year since we opened our doors and welcomed our first guests.
We could not be more grateful for the support, the busy weekends and the many shared moments that have filled the place with life.
As we head towards Christmas and the New Year, many of you have been asking about our opening times, so here is everything you need to know for the rest of 2025 and into 2026.

2025 December opening hours
Below are our festive opening times:
- 22nd and 23rd December: Food served 12pm to 9.30pm | Bar closes at 11pm
- Christmas Eve: Food served 12pm to 8pm | Bar closes at 11pm
- Christmas Day: Closed all day
- Boxing Day: Food served 12pm to 8pm | Bar closes at 10pm
- 27th to 30th December: Food served 12pm to 9.30pm | Bar closes at 11pm
- New Year’s Eve: Food served 12pm to 9.30pm | Bar closes at 12am
- New Year’s Day: Food served 12pm to 8pm | Bar closes at 10pm
- 2nd January onwards: Food served 12pm to 9.30pm | Bar closes at 11pm
