Visit Haddon Hall Over Easter to Get Your History Fix

Haddon Hall is a beautifully preserved medieval manor house near Bakewell, offering visitors a step back in time with its stunning architecture, romantic gardens, and rich history. Often described as one of England’s most unspoiled country houses, it boasts original Tudor kitchens, a grand long gallery bathed in natural light, and intricate tapestries that tell stories of centuries past.

The hall’s atmospheric charm has made it a favourite filming location for period dramas, including Jane Eyre and Pride & Prejudice. Whether you’re exploring its historic interiors, stroll through the enchanting walled gardens, or join a workshop, Haddon Hall provides a unique and immersive glimpse into England’s heritage.

On Easter Saturday (19th April) there is a Drawing Ancient Trees workshop for established and budding artists. It costs £70 for the workshop including all tuition, materials and equipment.
